Food Cravings - Baba Ganoush Recipe (How To Make Eggplant Dip)

Have you ever been to a social gathering, or a special occasion, and had the pleasure of tasting Baba Ganoush? Moments later, you've probably left the party, wondering how to make it yourself at home. Well, I'm here to debunk the mysticism behind this deliciously addictive, yet appetizing dish! Ingredients:                     2 Large Eggplants(preferably male)                                      1/2 cup Tahini Paste                     1/2 Lemon (juiced)                     2 Garlic Cloves                     1 Tspn Ground Cumin                     1 Tbspn Olive Oil                     Salt to taste** For starters, let's talk Eggplants! Did you know that there is a way to tell if your eggplant is male, or female? Yes! That's right! It's true! Also, keep in mind, that the male eggplants, do not contain nearly as many seeds, as their female counterparts! Have you ever tasted eggplants that were slightly bitter, and caused the roof of your mouth an i

Tabouleh (Tabouli Salad) Recipe

It's time to talk "Tabouli!" Well, it's actually, pronounced:"TAH-BOOH-LEH," and it happens to be one of my favorite side dishes. It can be served as an appetizer, or side salad. It is also very healthy, since parsley is known to be a liver cleanser(after a night of drinking, it may even help off-set a hangover!). Getting down to it, the truth is, Tabbouleh has been around for ages! It is known as a Levantine vegetarian salad made of tomatoes, finely chopped parsley, mint, Bulgar, and onion, and seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice, and salt. Some variations add garlic or lettuce, or use couscous instead of Bulgar. This is a traditional recipe. I don't condone adding unnecessary ingredients like, cucumbers, or lettuce to this salad, because it is meant to be eaten as is. I'm all for keeping things simple! Here's a list of ingredients you'll need  (For 1 bunch of finely chopped flat leaf parsley) add:  1/4 cup fine Bulgur(c

Hummus Recipe (Authentic THE REAL DEAL!)

Throughout the years, I've seen Hummus being commercialized at various grocery stores, restaurants, etc., and I have to say, many people try to add their own spin on things, but really end up killing the dish itself, as they morph it into something it's not! Hummus is Hummus, regardless of how many variations you try and add to it, so it's best to leave it alone. The thought of anything other than chickpeas(garbanzo beans) existing in this ancient dish, is absurd! I've seen others add in, unnecessary things like, basil, pine nuts, parsley, sumac, and, feta cheese to it. I guess you know what they say? "People tend to add fillers to something, in an attempt to overcompensate when they really lack the experience in initially preparing the dish." Honestly? This is the only recipe you will ever need! How do I know this? Because I was born eating this stuff, and I know, my palette. Once you follow my recipe, and try this at home for yourself, you
